Dear visitors,
This is a Russell Brand fan site. The site is not in any way affiliated with Russell Brand, nor does it serve any commercial purpose. Its sole purpose is to honor an individual whom I admire.
Why? I am a writer, which means I spend a lot of time puttering around the house, taking walks on the beach, lollygagging and doing just about anything I can to avoid sitting down and actually putting words on paper. Working on this site serves the valuable function of helping me take my mind of what I am supposed to be doing until such time as inspiration strikes (generally in the form of a looming deadline) and I get back to work.
Why a website? Unless you’re Stephen King, being a writer means doing a heckuva lot of things besides writing to keep a roof over your head. Developing websites is one of the things I do. I have developed websites about many things of interest to me, including California, beer, women’s literature and our local live music scene. This is the first time I’ve ever been so moved by an artist that I’ve been inspired to build a fan site. It was that or begin stalking him, and I felt this was by far the healthier option.
Why Russell Brand? The more I learn about Russell Brand, the more I want to learn. He is not only talented, he is a fascinating human being. I look forward to watching his career unfold and his star continue to rise. And since I’ll be stalking him following his career anyway, I thought I may as well build a website documenting the experience.
