10. Russell Brand not only has a winky, he knows how to use it. The one and only rule for the Mr. Twitter Universe contest is that the contestants have to be born with a winky. Well, if that’s the criteria, not one of the contestants has a winky as famous as ol’ Russ’s. Russell Brand once famously exposed his winky to make a point during a protest, and he has been named Shagger of the Year the last three years running … and with good reason. Now let’s give him this new title as well!

9. There is no better celebrity Twitterer Tweeter Twit Twitter account holder than Russell Brand aka @rustyrockets. Russell tweets peace, love and encouragement and interacts with as many of his fans as possible. 8. Revolution! There are limits to what Russell can accomplish as an ordinary citizen, but once Russell is crowned Mr. Twitter Universe, the revolution can reach new heights! Brandians unite!

7. Russell Brand is a friend to the animals. Okay, to be fair, I think I got that line from Legally Blonde. But it’s true, he is! Russell has been a vegetarian since his teens, is a doting and devoted pet owner to his beloved cat Morrissey, and has twice been named Europe’s Sexiest Vegetarian by PETA. 6. Russell is a great role model. I think the very best role models for kids are the ones who’ve been there and lived to tell about it. Let’s face it, however well-intentioned, the “don’t do drugs” speech just doesn’t resonate as much coming from Laura Bush as it does coming from a recovering heroin and crack addict who once had a drug dealer named Gritty. Yes, parents who want their kids to stay away from drugs should definitely want Russell Brand to be named Mr. Twitter Universe.

No other Twitterer has his very own troupe of strippers, ready to do his bidding when it comes to things like, oh, voting every 20 minutes to have him named Mr. Twitter Universe.
