Category: Russell Brand is reprising his break-out Forgetting Sarah Marshall role as rocker Aldous Snow for the upcoming film Get Him to the Greek. In Get Him to the Greek, which is scheduled to be released in April 2010, Brand’s character has gone off the wagon, and a music company intern named Aaron (played by Jonah Hill) is charged with the task of getting him from London to his gig at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
Today it was announced that Sean Combs (Puff Daddy), Elizabeth Moss and Rose Byrne have joined the cast of Get Him to the Greek. Sean Combs will play a music company mogul (Aaron’s boss), while Moss will play Aaron’s repressed girlfriend and Byrne will play a Courtney Love-type rocker who is an ex-girlfriend of Aldous Snow.
Brand has already filmed cameo scenes for the movie with several real-life women of rock, including Pink, Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera.
Brand is scheduled to return to the U.S. sometime after his sold-out April 17th stand-up gig at the O2 Arena in London for filming on Get Him to the Greek. We can’t wait to have you back, Russell!
